About Dr. Amanda
Hey, Momma! I’m Dr. Amanda Fisher – Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist, women’s health specialist and proud mom of 3 boys. I’m the founder of Empower Your Pelvis (my clinic in Kansas City) and the creator of Body After Birth.
And I’ve been in your shoes – With each of my pregnancies, I had my fair share of issues. Things like back pain, peeing my pants in public, diastasis recti (AKA abdominal separation), pubic bone pain, pain with sex – even varicose veins in my legs and labia. Yep! Fun stuff! 😯
I also experienced pelvic pressure that felt like a used tampon falling out of my vagina! Plus I was going through C-section recovery and experiencing scar discomfort on top of everything else. Why didn’t my doctor warn me about any of this?! And why didn’t anyone give me the tools I needed to properly recover?!
