Why is Body After Birth Essential?
Although pregnancy and childbirth are truly magical, they have a traumatic effect on your body! Think about it…
Your muscles were stretched and strained.
During pregnancy, the muscles in your core and pelvic floor are maxed out to make room for your growing baby. This leads to abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti) and other substantial tissue damage.
You had to carry extra weight.
Most moms gain between 25-50 extra pounds during pregnancy. And most of that weight is supported by your pelvic floor muscles, which is really hard on them.
Your posture changed.
To compensate for your growing belly, you had to change the way you sit, stand and walk, which put a strain on your back, core, and pelvic floor muscles. Many moms continue these posture habits after childbirth, which can cause further problems.
You may have scar tissue.
